Launch newbuilding project mv Spiken
Seventeen curious students from O.B.S. De Esdoorn were our guests at the launch of mv Spiken, the second Lake Vänern Max vessel in Erik Thun Group new series of plug-in hybrid dry cargo vessels. MF Shipping Group was responsible for the project management of this remarkable project.
With big eyes and many questions the students enjoyed this unique moment and got an exclusive look behind the scenes of the world of shipping. Martine Vonk, Marine Superintendent and Kolijn's mother, gave the children an inspiring lesson on the maritime sector, safety and sustainability. The students also created wonderful drawings of the ship of the future. Who knows - maybe we'll see some of these young adventurers return as future seafarers or even inventors of new ships!
