Our organisation
Karin Orsel and Theo Dik are at the helm of MF Shipping Group. They are not only the owners, but also fulfil the roles of CEO and CFO. Daily operations are in the capable hands of Fleet Director Erik Zwijghuizen, supported by an expert management team.
MF Shipping group is the governing body for two ship management organisations: Marin Ship Management and Flagship Management Company. MF Shipping Group has responsibility for all aspects of ship management for our partners, varying from large (inter)national companies to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Marin Ship Management
Marin Ship Management is a leading player in the tanker segment, with an impressive reputation. Our tankers sail for the top 10 energy companies, which is certainly no coincidence. We distinguish ourselves through excellent vetting results, and compliance with TMSA 3. Our vessels provide not only operational efficiency, but also comply with the highest safety standards and applicable regulations.
Our tanker fleet, sailing entirely under the management of MF Shipping Group, comprises product, oil and chemical tankers. They are mainly deployed in north-west Europe. The majority of our vessels sail proudly under the Dutch flag.
Moreover, Marin Ship Management manages various vessels transporting dry cargo and cement. They obviously also comply with the strictest quality standards, and excel in efficiency. A number of cement carriers have LNG tanks, alongside a fully automated loading system for cement.
Flagship Management Company
This organisation bears many similarities to Marin Ship Management and focuses entirely on the dry cargo segment. These dry cargo vessels are mainly active in north-west Europe and the Mediterranean region. The transport a wide range of cargo, including bulk goods, wood products, steel products, loose goods and contract freight.
ISO certified ship management
Our decisive success factors include attention to safety and sustainable shipping. Clients recognise these in the certainties and solid foundations we offer them. The Marin Ship Management Fleet is ISM (International; Safety Management), ISPS (International Ship and Port facility Security) and MLC (Maritime Labour Convention) certified, for example. All tankers managed by Marin Ship Management BV are ISO 14001:015 certified and comply with the Tanker Management Self Assessments third edition.
